The weather outside is gorgeous, so I'm enjoying having our windows open, letting the fresh air come in. Al is sleeping on the couch right now, and all I've done today is the dishes and a bit of straitening and I playing Candy-Land with Aly. She just got finished telling me over and over that "God made the birds!" and "Noah built a big big big Ark!!", and then she showed me how to pray. It was so cute! Now she's playing with her Ark and talking like a little mag-pie. At least she's keeping our mood up!

Lazy Sunday
I called Ellen last night (she's our church pianist and music leader) and told her to come up with an offertory song. Every week I've been playing the piano for offertory and this week I just didn't think I could do it! Al and I have been feeling bad for over a week now...this is the longest and most draining virus I remember having! And not only that, I feel worse every day instead of better! So, I called Ellen and told her it's a VERY good possibility that we won't come to church, since yesterday I didn't really get out of bed until 3pm. Today I woke up at 8 and laid in bed until 9. I was scared to get up because I knew I'd feel bad, but I felt a little better than yesterday. I still didn't feel well enough to go to church, and neither does Al. I started reading my Bible, and afterwards, my right ear starting KILLING me! So, on top of my upper back and back upper thighs being very achy, now I got an earache with referred pains down my jaw to my collar bone. Talk about unpleasant! I hope I can somehow fix this with homeopathic remedies instead of having to go to the doctor...also a lot of prayer!

Your sickness sounds just like what I had! How strange that we'd have the same bug half a world apart! I had a horrible ear ache too. It felt like there was a knife stabbing into my ear drum. I tried homeopathic remedies and they didn't even touch my sickness. I finally started taking the good old fashioned knock me out make me loopy drugs and that's when I started feeling better...until they wore off that is. Even now, 3 full weeks later, I still have a sore throat off and on and a hacking cough at night. You have my complete sympathy.
ReplyDeleteHow funny that I was thinking of your blog at the same time you were writing it!
I hope you get to feeling better soon!
